A Review of Body Works Beverages by Relaxzen

I was given the opportunity by Relaxzen a beverage company to review their product called Body Works. They have what they call a Mix pack which includes all of their six different shots. This is what I was sent. The names of the six shots are , Relax and Unwind Shot, Sleep Shot, Wellness Shot, Sport Shot, Perform Under Pressure Shot, and Energy Shot. I had a chance to sample each one of them. When I got home from a long day I tried the Relax and Unwind Shot and I just sat down and relaxed. When I had trouble sleeping I took the Sleep Shot. These all worked well including the others. My favorite was the Relax and Unwind Shot. It doesn't make you drowsy or overtired. It just makes you feel more relaxed.
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Noxicare A Great All Natural Pain Reliever

Wow! I am always looking for a natural way to relieve pain. Noxicare is that and much more. It is odorless, something that is great because no one will know that you have it on. It also is not all greasy, something else that is very important. This is just wonderful for helping with muscle and joint pain. After running around all day with my grandchildren this was just what I needed. It is also great on arthritis and nerve pain. I cannot say how great this product really is. I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. We are Working on the letter "D".

These past couple of weeks we have been working on the letter "D". No matter what we wanted to talk about Bobo was trying to keep talking about dinosaurs. Big ones, little ones, tall and short ones. It is truly amazing how many he can name. That's one of the reasons we love homeschooling, they can work on what they want, when they want. Sissy is not that interested in dinosaurs so she has been working on math. I cannot wait until the next couple of letters. I am especially waiting to get to the letter "F". I love to talk about America and our story of all of our different flag designs, why it was changed, and how we got to today's design. Then we want to try to read about some of the flags of other countries. I can remember when I was in school we had to learn about the flags of a lot of countries. I do not remember Mommy and her brother and sisters having to learn and be tested on the flags of other countries. While we are working on one letter we try to collect things that we will be working on for the next few letters. I sometimes feel as if we are under a microscope and others might or might not agree with us and homeschooling. Then we are in a group of others, whether at a store, paying for the food they have picked out, or at a restaurant ordering their own food and paying, and having someone compliment the kids and we are once again sure that our family has made the right choice.

Potty Cover Review and Giveaway

Well I tried it and I loved this product. As a grandmother I cannot tell you how many times I have had to take my own children and my own grandchildren to the potty. I have always said to myself that no matter how high you hold them up and put something on the seat they still might touch the bowl, which is very unsanitary. I was always concerned that they would touch something. These come individually wrapped so they can be easily carried in a diaper bag or pocketbook. I also think that they are great for all ages, not just children. They would also be good for the elderly and the handicapped. These are something that no one should be without.
I am able to host a giveaway with 1 free Potty Cover as a prize. Enter in rafflecopter below! a Rafflecopter giveaway

Your Beautiful Purpose by Susie Larson Book Review

I was very delighted to be given the chance to read this book by Susie Larson. In this book Susie Larson comes across as a very good friend offering words of wisdom and encouragement from her own life. She explains in very easy terms how we can be truly faithful and live fully for God. She tells of how we really want to serve God but we are sometimes afraid to, we work too hard or something or someone always seems to be challenging our intentions.
Susie Larson explains that in order to live more fully in God's work we must put aside our lesser commitments in life. She also speaks of being able to put aside our differences, our jealousies and our needs. We must put our trust in God, that he knows what he wants for us. He also knows how we feel and how we can fufill our destiny in life. She has shared that there are 4 core values that she has used to guide her way. They are Holy Confidence, Humble Dependence, Kingdom Passion, and Calvary Love. These are not having a sense of self-importance, not believing that we really do need his help everyday, not selfish ambition, and certainly not self-promotion. she believes that if we follow these values we will succeed.
This book was to me very informative. It shared some good ideas but, I also felt that it did not fully explain how someone who is having trouble believing in their own worth can grow to see just how important their life really is. I was given this book by Bethany House a Baker Publishing Group for the purpose of a review. All opinions are 100% my own,

Mildred, a young woman living in New England during the onset of World War II, worries about her family. What is to come? How will life change? Little does she anticipate change is to come not from war, but from an unexpected trip back in time to medieval Scotland.

Adlin, Chieftain of the MacLomain clan, will never forget the moment he lays eyes on her. Though he rules one of the most powerful clans in Scotland, Mildred redefines the man he thought he was. Her quick wit and perseverance humble his natural arrogance. Her sensuality cripples his defenses.

Will Mildred and Adlin find true love despite the odds? Find out in HIGHLAND DEFIANCE.

CLEAN EXCERPT:
I can handle this. I have to handle this! A dream is a dream after all; no matter if she thought she was going to work. No matter if she wondered at her sanity. So she decided to crack one eye open at a time.
Piece by piece, the man in front of her appeared.
He grinned. “Quite handsome, aren’t I?”
Her eyes popped open. Handsome? Extremely! His black hair was tousled, his startling light blue eyes merry, his chiseled face astounding.
“No,” she said automatically and buried her head again.
“Oh.” He plunked down beside her. “’Tis a thing sometimes, the shock of my good appearance.”
Mildred breathed deeply and hid her grin. Arrogant. But she couldn’t help but enjoy this dream. It was the first of its kind. She peeked out from beneath her arm and said, “You’re awfully full of yourself.”
“Nay.” He looked ahead and shook his head. “I stopped being that way years ago.”
Still from beneath her arm. “Being full of yourself?”
“Aye.” He leaned back and stretched out his legs. “Turns out the lassies dinnae like it.”
Mildred lifted her head slightly. “Why not? I find it rather becoming.”
“You would.”
“I would?”
“Of course.”
“Why is that?”
“Because you’re arrogant too.”
She sat up straighter. “Am not.”
“Are too.” He titled back his head. “Do you feel that?”
“What?” But she already did. A cool wind blew through the forest and brushed her cheek. For the first time since she’d arrived, Mildred looked around. There existed no steel mill looming in the distance waiting for her to make parts for planes created for war. There existed no stream of people trudging into a plant determined to do their job.
Her friends and siblings had vanished.
“Beautiful, isn’t it?”
Her eyes darted to the man beside her then back at the forest. “Yes, but I don’t understand.”
“Cannae you be happy with what is in front of you?”
She heard his accent and saw the forest and shook her head. “No, I can’t.”
“Too bad.” He jumped to his feet and held down his hand. “M’lady.”
Mildred looked up, still barely familiar with everything and shook her head. “No.”
He ignored her and pulled her to her feet. Stunned, she looked up…and up. It was then that she truly realized the stature of the man talking to her. With shoulders easily twice as wide as hers, a height at least eight inches taller and a frame rippled with muscles, he was overwhelming.
Her eyes drifted over his face. That face. One she’d dreamed of since she’d been a little girl. Perfectly proportioned, with a straight nose, square chin, and straight brows, it’d always been overly alluring.
And those eyes...like the clearest blue sky sharpened by sunlight.
“Well, what about my attire?”
Her eyes rounded. Yes, his attire was… amazing.
“You’re wearing a…” She glanced away and cinched her lips before looking at him again, brows up. “You’re wearing a skirt.” Mildred paused a minute to get her bearings in front of such a good looking fellow. But things must be said so she gathered her courage and looked him dead in the eye. “Are you aware that you wear a skirt?”
With a shocked look, he peered down and said, “It appears that I am!”
Mildred breathed deeply through her nostrils and nodded solemnly. “So I’m the first to tell you.”
He looked to the sky for guidance then into her eyes. “It seems you are.”
“Well, I’m sorry about that but honestly it’ll get you in trouble, even in my dream.”

Degrees of Courage by Shari Vester

Degrees of Courage by Shari Vester is the kind of book that anyone who is the child of immigrants or an immigrant them self can relate to. We have all read and heard about the strong women who have shaped the world's future. This book tells of such women, a grandmother, a daughter and a granddaughter. Shari writes this book with love and deep feelings. Her characters seem to come alive in her stories. It is the kind of book that once you start to read it you want to keep reading until you find out what happens in the end. You will laugh, cry and get mad while reading this book.
I was sent this book by the author but all opinions are my own.

Pocket Your Dollars by Carrie Rocha Book Review

I was given the opportunity to read this book and at first I thought it might be like other books that show ways to save money and pay down debt. But this book by Carrie Rocha was different. She explains to the reader that just creating a budget and trying to stick to it is not always enough. The book reveals that you need to change your attitude and the way that you think about money to succeed.
When an author relates his or her own experiences it is easy to think that you, the reader might also have a better chance to succeed. The most important of the 5 attitude changes I believe to be is; " It won't happen to me." If there are more readers like myself that can relate to this post then maybe there is hope that we can all someday be able to say that we are debt free.
Throughout the book the author does not make you feel guilty because of your situation. She shares that she was once in this position and that you can, with her ideas be able to do the same. I was able to read this book in a short time and I came away with great ideas. I really recommend this book to anyone who really wants to get out of debt.
I was given this book for free by Bethany House Publishers for the purpose of a review and all opinions are 100% my own.

Chronicles of the Broken by Amanda Washington Book Review

I started to read this book because it is about teenagers who deal with a lot of bad situations. It is a different kind of Christian series, nothing is sugar coated! There are some readers who may feel that it is too true to life. They are struggling to stay together while dealing with the problems of peer pressure, their families' problems and their friendships just falling apart. There is Jessica who is doing all that she can to try to forget that her mother is dealing with cancer. She gets out of one situation, and Trevor, one of their group, tries to start a relationship with her but soon finds out that another so called one of his best friends has had the same idea. Trevor is trying to battle his own fears but is moving further and further away from the ones who care the most for him. Will Jessica be too late to reconcile? Jessica feels the weight of taking care of her mother and one day she goes to school despite her father's wishes. She returns home to find that her mother had passed away. She has to try to deal with this. These are just after all children trying to make it in a world filled with trials to deal with and to see their friendships tested to their limits. This is a series which the characters are learning that God is always there to help them through their trials.
This is a very good book for young people to read and even though the series is a little different than what I have read before it is a compelling story. I was given this by Book Crash under Federal Trade Commission 16 CFR Part 255 for the purpose of a review but all opinions are all my own.

Snow, snow & more snow !!!

Yesterday it started to snow and it never stopped until about an hour ago. It officially is a blizzard. The roads are for the most part unable to pass. I decided to stay with Daddy, Mommy, Bobo and Sissy because Mommy just had the operation. We are unbelievably snowed in! My car is cleaned off but it is still stuck. Why, you ask. I really have no clue why. I guess I am here for awhile. The kids are very excited. Well, last storm, everyone ran out and got a generator. Some lost power but not as many as the last storm. Thank goodness we are all okay! Nana

Our Solar System Studying Day

We decided to talk about the solar system a few days ago. It was funny but the kids were the ones that started asking us about the earth and the planets. Auntie Lala was able to get this kit and she put it together. The globe of the earth actually rotates. They have been able to point out and name about half of the planets.
The kids are telling us what they are interested in right now, but I have to admit this choice took me a little by surprise. Bobo and Sissy have begun to name some of the dinosaurs and they have asked how a volcano works. I think that I was a lot older in school when we talked about this.

Threads of Grace by Kelly Long Book Review

Threads of Grace is a book which takes the reader through a woman's life who is afraid to allow any man to ever again get close to her. It is a novel of a woman who is dealing alone with her son who has Autism. She is giving all of her love to him. As a young girl she was forced to marry a much older man because her family was about to lose their farm. When her husband passes away she cannot wait to leave her past behind her, so she moves to Pine Creek, Pennsylvania hoping to start over. Almost as soon as she arrives Seth Wyse the most eligible bachelor in town, has noticed her.
Seth loses no time telling Grace how he feels for her and her son. Grace is unable to allow anyone to get close to her heart ever again. When things are starting to settle down her late husband's brother shows up to tell her that if she is not married he will inherit everything.
Seth has decided that they will get married and he will help her and her son. Grace is afraid to trust her new husband with her heart and Seth starts thinking that maybe this was a bad idea. They soon realize that God has been working on their hearts all along. I really enjoyed this book. It was refreshing to see a single mother raise her disabled child by herself. It also was heartwarming to see a woman learn how to trust and love again. I was given this book by Booksneeze for purpose of a review. All opinions are my own.

Goodbye to Yesterday by Wanda Brunstetter Book Review

I was able to read Goodbye to Yesterday which is due out this week. I really love Amish stories and this was no exception. Newlyweds Meredith and Luke Stoltzfus have been dealing with a trying time early in their marriage. It started when Luke lost his job and they have been getting by on the bare essentials. While they actually live in Pennsylvania with their families nearby, Luke has finally been asked by his uncle in Indiana to come and learn a new trade with him. Luke is very excited to go while Meredith is afraid for him to leave. Along the way Luke has meets with a tragic event and he will never the same. Meanwhile Meredith, at home is beginning to believe that she may be pregnant.
I really liked this book which is A Lancaster Saga written in 6 parts. This is Part 1 The discovery. The only thing that I did not like about this is that it ends with a cliffhanger. Whenever I have read other trilogies or others like it, the books were able to stand alone. This to me seems almost like you are being forced to buy the next book to read the rest of the story. I was given this book for free by Handlebar Publishing for the purpose of a review. All opinions are 100% my own.

It's your Love Giveaway Hop!

Everything Christmas Book Review

Everything Christmas

Everything Christmas is the kind of book that you can read anytime of the year, not just at Christmas time. This is a collection of Holiday Recipes of different kinds, poems and songs to share with others. Different authors have shared their past happiest Christmas times. Rememberances and wonderful memories are shared with the reader. My most enjoyed part of the book was the heartfelt stories. These stories brought tears to my eyes more than once.
Chesnut dressing recipes, Christmas dinners in England, Poland, Portugal and more are shared with the reader. I did not want to get to the end of the book because I really loved it! I was given this book for free by Waterbrook Multnomah Publishing Group for the purpose of a review.
